smokan is published by ByTaishiro, operated by Anthonin Jomier (France). For any question regarding your personal data, contact contact@smokan.app.

Depending on how you use the Service, we collect:

• Account data : email address, display name, and the public identifier provided by the identity providers you choose to use (Google, Discord, Twitch);
• Twitch data : channel ID and metadata of your VODs, needed to run a detection;
• Video content : the VODs you submit are downloaded temporarily, processed by our servers (image analysis, audio detection, editing), then the generated clips are stored until you download or delete them;
• Payment data : handled entirely by Stripe; smokan never stores your banking details;
• Technical data : usage logs, processing task status, IP address for security purposes.

Your data is used to:

• provide and run the Service (detection, editing, clip export);
• manage your account and subscription;
• send you transactional emails (confirmation, processing status);
• ensure security and prevent abuse of the Service;
• improve the quality of detection and editing.

We rely on the following providers, which may process your data as subprocessors:

• Supabase — database, authentication and file storage;
• Stripe — payment and subscription processing;
• Resend — sending transactional emails;
• Vercel — web app hosting;
• Google / Discord / Twitch — authentication, if you choose these sign-in methods.

Your videos and clips are never sold or shared for advertising purposes. They are only sent to third-party platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram) if you trigger a publish yourself.

Source VODs are deleted from our processing servers as soon as editing is complete. Generated clips are kept as long as your account is active or until you delete them manually. Account data is kept until you delete your account, then deleted or anonymized within 30 days, subject to legal retention obligations (accounting, invoicing).

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at contact@smokan.app, or by deleting your account directly from your dashboard. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

smokan only uses cookies that are strictly necessary for the Service to work (keeping your login session active). No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, per-account access control) to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss or disclosure.

This policy may be updated periodically. Any substantial change will be communicated to you by email or through the Service.

When you connect your YouTube, TikTok or Instagram account to smokan to publish your clips, we access only the information strictly required: the identity of the connected account or channel, and permission to upload the videos you explicitly choose to publish. Access and refresh tokens are stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and used solely to perform those actions at your request. We never sell this data and never transfer it to any third party for advertising. You can disconnect an account at any time from your profile, which deletes the corresponding tokens.

smokan's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Specifically, read access to your YouTube channel is used only to display the connected channel name, and write access is used only to publish the clips you request.
